Spring 2023 Update

Hi Everyone! 👋

We just wanted to check in for a quick update on the status of Laxidaze. Before we get into the details, please remember to fill out the T-shirt size/ address survey we have sent out over kickstarter. We need this information to make sure we have the correct sizes so we can ship out the plushies/shirts in one package. Once we have enough of the surveys filled out, we can begin shipping out the orders.

In terms of a development update, this will be a short one. We are still hard at work on the development of Laxidaze. We apologize for how slow things have gotten, there hasn’t really been anything exciting to show off yet as we’ve just been deep into learning unreal and building out our core systems which is taking longer than we anticipated. Learning unreal, balancing our jobs, and it just being the two of us has really slowed down our pace. Ultimately, we still believe the switch has been good for the overall health of the game but it has delayed us quite a bit so we hope you all understand. 

What we do want to share now is our expected goals for the year of 2023. We plan to have our next update this summer showing off some initial gameplay and systems. We also plan to show off some non-finalized art in the update. Towards the end of the year we plan to do another update showing off a vertical slice of what we have in terms of gameplay. We plan on using this vertical slice to show off to publishers to potentially secure more funding that would allow us to work on Laxidaze full time!
